Renalfa IPP is a Vienna based developer and independent power producer established as a JV between Renalfa Solarpro Group GmbH and the French infrastructure fund manager RGREEN INVEST. The company owns and develops PV, BESS and wind projects with joint capacity of circa 2 GW in Bulgaria, Hungary, North Macedonia and Romania, including c. 300 MW already operational, c. 460 MW in construction and c. 1 GW in late-stage development.

Razlog

33 MWp Solar + 25MW/50MWh BESS
Razlog is 33 MWp solar power plant in operation since 2022, situated in Southwestern Bulgaria. The project has concluded a 10-year PPA with the Bulgarian branch of the telecom operator A1. Co-located with this project is Renalfa IPP's first utility scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with 25MW/55 MWh capacity.

Vetrocom

72,5 MW Wind
Vetrocom is an operating wind farm in Bulgaria with a total capacity of 72.5 MW. The project is situated near the town of Kazanlak, 200 kilometers east of Sofia and has 29 turbines. Vetrocom is fully operational since 2012.

Kaolinovo

10 MWp Solar
Kaolinovo is a 10MWp solar plant in operation since 2012, situated in Northeastern Bulgaria. The project benefits from a contract for premium.

Dobrich

14 MWp Solar
Dobrich is a 14 MWp solar plant in operation since 2012, situated near the town of Dobrich in Northeastern Bulgaria. The project benefits from a contract for premium.

Galgaguta

66 MWp Solar
Galgaguta is a 66MWp solar plant in operation since 2022, situated in central Hungary. The project has an option to enter into up to 15-year contract for difference (METAR).

Szentmartonkata

23 MWp Solar
Szentmartonkata is a 23 MWp solar plant in operation since 2023, situated near the town of Szentmartonkata in central Hungary.

Oslomej

65,8 MWp Solar
Oslomej is a 65,8 MWp solar plant in operation since 2023, situated on the site of the former coal mine in Oslomej, Republic of North Macedonia. The Oslomej PV power plant is built in a Public Private Partnership with the Macedonian state-owned electricity utility ESM.

Makedonski Brod is a 12 MWp solar plant in operation since 2023, situated in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Tenevo Solar is a 238 MWp solar power plant in Southern Bulgaria, a joint investment with the Danish Eurowind Energy. The project is expected to become operational in 2025. The project is a part of Tenevo Hybrid RES complex which will also include 250 MW wind and 250 MW/500MWh BESS.

Razlog BESS

In June 2024 Renalfa IPP started commercial operation of its first utility scale 25MW/55 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) co-located with the Razlog project. The project is the first sizeable storage investment in the country, the largest operating BESS system in Bulgaria and one of the first BESS of such scale in Eastern Europe. Commercial management and optimization of the BESS is done by the leading electricity trader in the region KER TOKI Power. The storage system was designed, installed and integrated into the grid by Solarpro Technology, while the main BESS components were supplied by Hithium and Kehua.
