Renalfa IPP is a Vienna based developer and independent power producer. The company owns and develops PV, BESS and wind projects with joint capacity around 2 GW in Bulgaria, Hungary, North Macedonia and Romania, of which more than 300 MW already operational and more than 460 MW in construction.
Renalfa IPP is established as a JV between Renalfa Solarpro Group GmbH and the French infrastructure fund manager RGREEN INVEST.

Founders & Company History

Renalfa Solarpro Group GmbH has been founded by Ivo Prokopiev, Konstantin Nenov and Ivan Nenkov - all three of them serial entrepreneurs with more than 30 years of experience in starting businesses, investing, financing, growth and exits. Since 2007, via the establishment of Solarpro, the group gradually re-focused its capital allocation and management efforts on clean energy and electrical mobility. Trough in subsidiaries it has activity in most of the EU countries. It is now one of the leading clean energy investors in Eastern Europe, with significant experience and scale. Renalfa Solarpro Group has more than 1550 employees.

Ivo Prokopiev
Co-founder and Managing Director

Mr. Prokopiev is a successful entrepreneur and investor with more than 30-year experience in independent journalism, corporate finance, telecoms, real estate, digital technologies, clean energy and many others. Recently, Renalfa, co-founded by Mr. Prokopiev, have played a leading role in developing clean energy and electrical mobility in SEE. Over the past three decades, as representative of the business and employers, Mr. Prokopiev has been involved in a number of key reforms in Bulgaria like currency board introduction, media self-regulation, pension reform, business representation and others. He has a Masters degree in Finance from Sofia Economic University and Executive MBA from INSEAD.

Konstantin Nenov
Co-Founder and Managing Director

Mr. Nenov is one of the leading Bulgarian industrialists and investors with over 25-year experience in banking, industrial minerals and renewable energy. Under his leadership, the small Bulgarian company Kaolin, between 2000 and 2013 was converted into a regional leader in industrial minerals for the ceramic and glass industry in Eastern Europe. After the successful exit of Kaolin in 2013, Mr. Nenov is a Managing partner of Solarpro, the leading integrated solar company in Eastern Europe. He has a Masters degree in Mobility from Sofia Economic University.

Mathilde Ketoff
Co-founder and Board Member

Since joining RGREEN INVEST as an Investment Director in 2019, Mathilde has led the firm’s debt strategy and overseen the execution of more than 30 transactions in Europe, OECD overseas, and Africa, supporting developers, IPP and corporates of the energy transition sector. With more than 16 years of experience in investment banking (including within BNP Paribas), Mathilde has specialized in structured finance, infrastructure, and sustainability, with deep credit expertise. Mathilde holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s degree in International Risk Management from HEC Paris.

Guillaume Ktorza
Board Member

Guillaume joined RGREEN INVEST in 2018 as an Investment Director. He began his career at Platinum Equity, an American private equity firm, contributing to the firm’s European expansion. He later joined Gravitation, the investment holding company of French entrepreneur, Charles Beigbeder, where he oversaw sustainable investments. Guillaume subsequently joined the Total Eren team, leading the acquisition of more than 300 MW of operating and ready-to-build projects in Europe and the Americas. Guillaume is a graduate of EMLyon Business School with a major in Finance.

Kalina Pelovska
Chief Investment Officer

Senior financial manager with 20 years experience in investment management, financial advisory, bank financing and loan restructuring. Main areas of expertise include structuring and financing for conventional and renewable power projects, real estate and public infrastructure. Kalina holds an MA in International Relations from the Central European University (Hungary) and a Diploma in International Economics from the Bologna Center of Johns Hopkins University.

Diana Konova
Procurator and Chief Legal Officer

Diana Konova has 20 years of practice in the sphere of law. Her professional experience entails independent lawyer’s practice with the Sofia BAR; management positions as chief legal, compliance and organizational officer in regulated financial institutions, including asset management company, as well as in public institutions – direct EU beneficiaries for strategic infrastructure projects in Bulgaria. Since 2017 has been a member of the Supervisory Board of a banking institution operating in North Macedonia. Diana’s main areas of expertise include corporate and contracts law, property and construction law, public procurement, regulatory compliance of private financial institutions and public entities, M&A transactions in the energy sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Law from Sofia University and has specialized courses in FIDIC, CBA and public procurement.

Bastien Doutreleau
Board Member

Bastien joined RGREEN INVEST in 2021 as Associate Director of Asset Management. Bastien has been working in investment-related areas for about ten years and has gained specialised experience in structured finance at Groupe ADP, where he was involved in numerous airport concession deals worldwide. Bastien is a graduate of NEOMA Business School and a CFA charterholder.

Mariyan Yanakiev
CFO

Mariyan has 17+ years of experience in the fields of corporate finance, investment banking, financial advisory and business process outsourcing. He has participated and executed numerous sizable M&A transactions in CEE and has a large track record of leading process improvement and optimization projects. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute (CFA). Mariyan holds a degree in Business Administration from Saint Anselm College in the USA.

Anastasia Yaneva
Head of Project Financing

Anastasia features 15+ years of expertise in project finance, bank financing and loan restructuring. Main areas of expertise include structuring appropriate financing terms for large scale transactions in real estate, energy, leisure & tourism and healthcare. During her long-term career with one of Bulgaria’s leading banks, Anastasia worked on various landmark development projects and M&A transactions in Bulgaria. She holds a Masters’ degree in Macroeconomics from Sofia University and has spent several years as a teaching assistant at the same university.

Nick Antonov
Director, Vienna

Dr. Nick Antonov is a senior manager with 40 years of experience working for global multinational companies, including Reuters and Dow Jones. He has unique expertise in the field of risk, reputation and issue management. Dr. Antonov interests are in the field of media, information and big data based research. He worked in Vienna, London, Geneva, New York, Greece, Turkey, Russia and the CIS, South-East Europe… As director and manager, he set up and trained a pan-European sales and marketing team, negotiated deals with key customers, developed tele-sales, tele-marketing, tele-customer support, credit control projects, product development projects; led acquisition efforts across Europe.
